Episode 6 - Jinju White soap

Trying again new soap! (2017)

I saw this soap went viral from re-sellers, including bagets mom friends on Facebook, ayoko bumili sakanila (toink!) so naghanap ako san makakabili. I keep searching keywords on Facebook, because I really hate meet up meet up sa mga ganyan, se-sales talk-in lang ako. Thankfully I saw a post, makikita siya sa Watsons, but selected branch only!

Sa binilhan ko sa Watsons Megamall, 1 piece try lang! Pagtingin ko yellow color yung box? bat ganun? pero sa FB puro color pink yung design ng box at sa mga bloggers?  I assumed baka nagpalit ng packaging? So ayun, yung na-try ko is yellow color. Ang mahal, 200.00-230.00 if I can remember. Dahil yun nga korean yung name ng product baka dito na ko pumuti lol

I like the scent smell, classy, thick soap box, it doesn't bubbles. It is like moisturizing soap similar to Dove. I like it how my skin get smooth and soft. I feel comfortable after bath. It lasts 10-12 days lang, di pa umabot 2 weeks. When it comes to whitening effect, hmm... none. I am glowing after bath but afterwards, what's my default skin stays. No any changes. Ganun naman talaga pag bagong ligo, glowy tayo kahit di pa whitening soap gamit mo. Just an ordinary soap for me. But I want to get hopes up for this so I would buy again for 2 pieces.

I hate that it is out of stock at SM Megamall na. I don't want to order online because it takes 3-5 days to receive. I saw a post there's stock sa SM Taguig Watsons, takte dinayo pa namin ng supportive boyfriend ko para lang sa soap, yun lang purpose ng pagpunta namin dun, date konti tas uwi na, nagka trapik trapik pa kami hahaha. So ayunm gold box talaga yung naabutan ko, di ako nakakita ng pink box sa personal.

So far, sa paggamit ko, wala talagang whitening effect. Time to change whitening soap again!

RECOMMENDATION:
I don't recommend this soap when it comes to whitening effect talaga habol. Maybe it has a mild whitening only but for me, it is very slow effect. Mention ko nalang ulit yung "dating" / "old" Likas Papaya soap (na nagbago na ngayon), gusto ko yung fast whitening effect na katulad nya at di ganun kamahal, tho baka hiyangan lang talaga. So ayun, still keep searching for the right whitening soap for me!

And it is inconvenient to find this of soap. Like pag naubusan ka, available lang sa reseller, kokontakin mo pa sila kung kailan sila available. Gusto ko yung nakikita lang sa Watsons or Mercury Drugstore nearby.

Writing this blog on August 2019. I don't see Jinju soap na like sa mga re-sellers now. Laos agad hahaha. Anyway, di naman siya effective, PWE!

Episode 5 - Gluta Kojic Ultra Soap

Let's try new whitening soap!

Searching on the internet for the best whitening soap, Google suggests "Gluta Kojic Ultra Soap" from Lazada, I saw a lot of good and best reviews, bumabaha ng 5 stars reviews, checking also if legit ba yung mga nag review and verified customers ba, and it is legit nga... then during that time it is ON SALE! 249.00 for 3 pieces. The reviews were very convincing and from bloggers on YouTube, so I would like to try and see it for myself.

The soap package was ordinary, just like a similar to Safeguard soap box, it is a big soap, wrapped in very thin paper. Easy to remove.

The soap lasts long and I felt clean every after bath. It is soapy and easy to make bubbles. I consumed a total of 6 pieces of this soap.  I don't get any compliments from my boyfriend if I get my skin lightens. Even for myself, I don't see the results, it feels like an ordinary cleansing soap. I heard from bloggers they felt itchiness after bath, well I don't felt any.

Ugh. This whitening soap is not for me. But there is so many whitening soap to try and search for the right one for me! Keep updated to my blogs!

RECOMMENDATION:
Will I recommend this soap? Yes. I like it how the soap lasts long, it is a whitening soap as well, the reviews were accurate and a lot of people got skin lighter from this soap except for me.

But for people that are only up for whitening result, mga bihasa na paghahanap ng whitening soap, I don't really recommend this. Tho marami ng um-effect sa iba, kaya nga nag join ako sa hype, when I see it for myself, its a NO for me.

I will never buy this soap again xD because it doesn't work for me!

Episode 4 - SNOW Skin Whitening

SNOW Skin Whitening Soap Review.

I've been loyal to Likas Papaya soap for 10 years (2005-2015). I have to change my whitening soap which what I have mentioned in Episode 2. I had a hard time of choosing what will be my next whitening soap that I be stick in. I choose SNOW Skin Whitening Soap.

Why? I googled whitening soap and what Lazada/Shopee showed me a variety of whitening soaps. Until it appeared on my newsfeed and sponsored post on my Facebook. I read comments and seen a lot of bad feedback. I also read blogs and it is not recommended by many. A few on Facebook comments, said they love it and effective to them.

I love visiting Watsons but I don't buy some products immediately even its tempting because I would like to see the reviews on internet first lol. I saw the SNOW Skin Whitening Soap, even I seen a lot of bad reviews from bloggers, I would like to see it for myself. I just bought one piece for ₱135.00 its expensive for a soap because the soap range I know maybe effective is around ₱50.00 - ₱80.00 *shrugs* maybe the price says it for effectivity.

I liked the packaging, looks premium. I was giggling and excited to use it. My boyfriend was laughing at me because of my excitement for a night shower.

I applied it on my face and body. Directions say to “leave on skin for 2-3 minutes before rinsing,” I felt the pain on my face, (super hapdi) I can't stay it long on my face for a minute, pain from calamansi juice is better but this soap feels like burning my face, so I rinsed immediately my face and it still hurts. That was the first time I felt from a soap. I wanna believe to this soap so I still use it until it last.

I was disappointed because it lasts only like 10-12 days for me with 2x use for day and night before bed time. I was culture shocked because I can only compare with Likas Papaya soap that I stick in before, because it last 1 month to me with 2x use a day.

My observation, I felt the glow after 1 week. I hate the fact that I have to suffer the pain in my face every wash just for the sake of skin whitening. I bought 2 soaps again to continue and see the improvement if it'll lighten my skin more. After 1 month and 1 week, I just felt white after bath. I still look normal, assuming that the effectiveness per day is 0.01% it feels like a waiting for the day will come having a skin white like Koreans. Nakakainip. Mainipin pa naman ako, gusto ko instant lol kahit na malabo yun unless mayaman ka pang-derma hahaha.

I admit that I am desperately wanna have a skin white like Koreans. So I bought the package of SNOW capsule will SNOW lotion along with SNOW soap with the total of ₱1,399.00 if I can remember. I was about to change soap but it is package so sayang naman. I will use it anyway.

SNOW Skin Whitening Lotion Review

I'm not a fan of lotion. My first lotion was AVON Papaya whitening lotion along with my Likas Papaya soap. It is also effective when I used. I stopped using lotion due to hotness of weather. I'm always on outdoors so it will just adds dirt on my skin, dagdag libag lang, we don't even have air conditioner in our house so I don't have an urge to use it during that time.

I would like to try the lotion because maybe it will add a lighten layer to my skin after bath. it cost ₱750.00 - ₱800.00 if I can remember. I was impressed in my first use, you can see the difference of the applied arms to other arm, the effect of instant white and I felt like korean yiiiie! It moisturize my skin and I felt soft and beautiful. On my 2nd day use, its not impressive anymore until 3rd day, then on the other day and afterwards. I will consume it until last kasi sayang. I won't buy again anymore. It doesn't lighten my skin actually. I still look normal on my default white skin. It is just a moisturizing lotion for me para sa ganun kamahal na lotion, ibang moisturizer lotion nalang thanks.

SNOW Caps L-Gluthatione Review

I told you in my old blogs, Episode 2, I would never intake whitening capsules. But it is really tempting since I have a job, earning money on my own to spent for my luxuries. A lot of celebrities, models for car shows etc... used to intake Gluthatione meds and injecting as well, so I would like to try! It is advised to intake twice daily, day and night, also avoid stress for the effectiveness. It is recommended to drink along Vitaminc C / Ascorbic Acid for fast result and drink a lot of water.

Some are afraid that they may get fat because of Vit. C intake, but as long as you drink more water, drinking water helps losing weight. I followed the instruction. For the total of 5 boxes of Snow Caps, as far as I remember it last 2.5 months. My boyfriend's mom told me that I have lighten my skin more. That's when I believe it because it comes a compliment from others, not from inside our house lol. I intake 2 capsules a day for fast effectivity, because I can't notice the effect in 1 capsule a day.

Will I purchase again? NO. It is too expensive for me, but that was the cheapest price I seen of Gluta pills compared from networking products and resellers of gluta pills. Maybe that's enough for me to treat myself a reward that I want to cherish the hardwork of earning money from my job. After I stopped taking SNOW Caps, the glow fades but the white stays, it is a slow progress to whiten my skin but atleast there's a progress than noticing the results at all with soap and lotion. Sadly, I have to let it go because it is too expensive for monthly budget.

RECOMMENDATION:

• SNOW Soap: NO.
• SNOW Lotion: NO
• SNOW Caps: YES

Episode 3 - Calamansi

Calamansi for skin whitening.
Calamansi para sa pampaputi ng balat.

I have a high motivation and perseverance to do this home remedy to make myself beautiful and to whiten my skin, because I broke up with my ex-boyfriend. To be honest, no official breakups, due to no communication since he is always surrounded by hoes and he is the flirty one. Okay enough for that, let's move on. This happened last 2013. Breaking up with your partner should not be the reason why you become beautiful afterwards. Para hu u sya ganon ganon. It can be but not should the main reason, it should be for yourself. Nagpaganda ka para sa sarili mo, hindi para sakanya. Love yourself first ^^,

Since I just graduated college in 2013, unemployed and no money, lazy for job hunting as well. I told myself to rest for a half year LOL. Though at the same time I want job soon so that I can buy all I want, such as foods, skin care and spent it to dermatologist... for my dark underarm treatment and  unwanted hair permanent removal as well, but yeah its hard to apply for a job. Ang hirap maging babae! So during my tambay days, I would like to try the calamansi for whitening because it is the most popular suggestion from elders and what my grandmother told me.

My mom is supportive, every time she went to market, she bought me 1 kilo of calamansi because I request it pag pupunta siya ng palengke. 1kg of calamansi range cost around ₱20.00-₱25.00 that I consume for 5 days.

PROCEDURE:

1. Boil water for night warm bath.
2. Cut and squeeze 10 - 15 pcs of calamansi medium size put into a container or small bowl. The total amount of the calamansi liquid is about 10 tablespoon. Enough to spread for whole body.
3. Pure calamansi juice. (No water added) Remove seeds. Set aside inside the bathroom.
4. Tie your hair, wear a shower cap to avoid hair getting wet.
5. Wet your body with warm water, rub whitening soap you use one (1) time and rinse with warm water. Wipe and pat dry your skin with a towel.
6. Apply the pure calamansi juice to your face and whole body with your clean bare hands. Be thrifty and save enough juice to spread all over your face and body.
7. Leave on 10-20 minutes. Rinse warm water and rub again a whitening soap. You may rinse a lukewarm water thoroughly.

When I'm done with household chores, I take a bath in the afternoon. I do the calamansi marinade session in the evening before bedtime. You won't see the result on 1 day use. Everyday calamansi session will help your skin lighten each day. For best result, avoid sun exposure, always bring umbrella with you.

Within 3 months straight, I am already glowing white. Real talk, umiilaw ako sa puti seriously. Each day session, I never appreciate the result due to the lighting of our house. But on group selfies, ako pinakamaliwanag. Kahit yung mga maputi mo na kasamahan, nataoban ko sa group pictures. You'll appreciate your skin white on natural daylight.

It is really effective and proven because I experiment it on my skin and seen it with my own eyes.

WARNING: First use of calamansi juice to your skin, you'll experience the pain and notice that you have very small wounds without knowing it because of juice spreads on specific areas, especially the face. You must endure pain, it feels like when the alcohol/betadine pours to wound, that's how it feels like. You'll experience it within 1 week daily use and afterwards you'll feel nothing and it is tolerable because you adapted the pain.

NOTE: It made my skin white within 3 months, but I still have dark armpit and buttocks. My armpit used to be color gray due to shaving and plucking. The calamansi helps to lighten a bit, which is now light brown. It just helps but not totally disappearance of hyperpigmentation. My armpit is still not perfect.

Hassle thing to do. Ang hirap magpi-pipiga. Tiyagaan lang talaga. I stopped doing the session after 3 months due to a serious job hunt and get hired. I don't have enough time to do it because I'm tired at work. I can't do it on weekends because I'm too lazy and prefer spending time on hobbies and socializing with friends/workmates.

Episode 2 - Likas Papaya

When I started using Likas Papaya soap way back 2005, it costs ₱65.00 at grocery store until continuously increasing up to ₱76.00 if I can remember in the year 2015. When I can't find the soap at grocery, I buy it at Mercury Drugstore.

Hangga't maaari, umiiwas talaga ako sa sun ☀️ and umbrella is my best friend. Even just a milliseconds exposing to sun is a BIG NO NO to me. Most of my office attires and blouses are long sleeves hahaha.

During my skin tone observation in 2015, the soap doesn't lighten my skin anymore, I was assuming that if, is it because I already achieved my fair skin? Hanggang dito nalang ba ang ipuputi ko? But I want more! Maputi na ko but still not white as korean girls or mga pretty girls sa car show lol.

When I share that story to my mom, she shared also the same story and noticed that the soap also doesn't make her white too anymore. So we both assume na nagbago na ang Likas Papaya because it become mainstream. Malamang binawasan na nila ang ingredient, increased the price because that's how business works. I had also read other blogs na di rin pala kami ang nakapansin, Likas Papaya changed. Ang nangyari both maintenance nalang yung soap sa amin. Pang maintain nalang sya, ganun.

So I was thinking of changing whitening soap habang nag-maintain use of Likas Papaya soap. And I wonder which one? Both mom and I afraid of gluta pills intake and gluta injection because what may be the side effect? And also that time, dun uso ang Glutathione. I believe its effective but very expensive, also chemicals.

I heard my cousin use Silka Green Papaya soap. Isa pang morena yun, pero di pa sya pumuti. Naunahan ko na sya actually at ang layo na ng skin tone ko sakanya lol. So I have an idea na I will never buy that soap lol sabi ni Mommy mura lang daw yung soap na yun.

I heard from sales lady ng Kojic soap, she shared her story na pumuti sya sa Kojic soap but afterwards, nung tumigil siya, bumalik lang daw skintone nya, seller na po yun ng Kojic soap ha. So I also shared mine yun nga sa Likas Papaya, she replied "Ma'am kung ano pong nagpaputi sa inyo, dun muna kayo mag-stay, hiyangan lang po talaga."

I heard from my boyfriend that his male officemate recently just used Likas Papaya soap at pumuti talaga sya. Maputi talaga, takot din magpa-gluta so he stick with the Likas Papaya soap. I knew SM / Robinsons / Watsons / Mercury Drugstore will never produce fake Likas Papaya soap, so I knew legit yung binibilhan ko, pero in my case kase di na talaga siya effective sakin. My aunts still use that soap until now and pumuti na rin sila.

WILL I RECOMMEND LIKAS PAPAYA SOAP?
- My answer is both yes and no. Hahaha. Let me tell you the details.
- YES. Because kahit nagbago na ang Likas Papaya soap, may mga pumuputi pa rin dun.
- NO. Para sa mga pumuti na/maputi na, or sa mga old user na nito. But maybe um-effect sayo kahit maputi ka na. Ewan, try mo. Iba-iba naman ang balat natin. For me, I have no plans of using this anymore. So I stopped using this on 2015.

Not recommended for pregnant and lactating women.
It is made from naturals but still you have to ask your OB-gyne.

Episode 1 - Likas Papaya

Way back 2005, I was 13 years old.

I'm a boyish lady, morena, and that doesn't care about my physical appearance. I'm just confident enough with my looks and what my outfit of the day is only that matters and most importantly, I'm not fat. (That's what I only care in my teenage days) May napuputian sakin, but most of my relatives morena talaga tingin sakin, so mas naniniwala ako sa kanila. I'm indoor person, di naaarawan kaya siguro namuti? I don't know.

When the school begins in June, you have to wake up early then hurry to eat breakfast and take a bath in the morning so that you're ready for school. But my older brother doesn't eat breakfast in the morning so he can use the bathroom first and he is so very slow when he take a bath, the tendency is time consuming. We are always like that and I never changed, never learned time management.

Thankfully, we have 2 bathrooms, one is for children (ours) also for visitors, the other bathroom is inside the master's bedrooms which is from our parents. Kampante ako kase dalawa naman ang banyo kaya pwede ako sa kabila, kela Mommy, which is mas maganda CR nila kesa samin at mas maluwag pa.

The only available soap in master's bathroom was Likas Papaya, which my first impression is "pang matanda na sabon" like if I use this, baka tumanda ako lol because the soap color is orange, the generic anti-bacterial soap we know were light colors such as white soaps, light pink/blue/green like Safeguards soap we use as a kid's perspective.

I have no choice that time because I'll be late for school if I don't hurry.

It become a habit, as I mentioned, everyday I procrastinate.

So everyday I use the Likas Papaya soap of my mom and I hate it.

Monday to Friday except holidays lol

One day, we have a family gathering on September, attending on my Grandma's birthday. Bigla nalang akong ni-compliment ng mga maaarte kong mga tita. "Pumuti ka ha? Ang puti mo!" at yung iba kong tita napatingin din sakin, "Oo nga, bat biglang puti mo? Anong ginawa mo?" My titas aren't aware of whitening soap during that time, then my mom laughs and replied, "Nag li-Likas Papaya yan! yun ang sabon na nagpaputi sakanya." Gumanda daw ako achuchuchu. My aunties can't believe because they never believe in whitening soaps are effective, (maybe some whitening soap aren't effective for some people) then they said they will try that Likas Papaya soap.

Real talk. My parents never told me I'm beautiful, even my older brother never told him that he is handsome. Both me and my brother never felt being beautiful inside out and lacks confidence in terms of physical appearance. But most of our relatives always compliment us that I am pretty and my bro is handsome, also from strangers and other people. We don't know if we will thank them for their compliments or believe them, we are just speechless and pokerface to compliments we receive.

Alright, so much for that, let's move on. After those overwhelming compliments from my aunts, I felt beautiful for the first time, facing in mirror wondering "May nagkaka-crush kaya sakin?" That's when the time puberty hits me, I started to get conscious sa mga kinikilos ko.

It started from hating the Likas Papaya soap to loving it from what I become!

The more you hate, the more you love daw! lol

So I am now fine to take a bath at my parents' bathroom because I'm excited to use the Likas Papaya soap! but then when I saw the Likas Papaya soap is missing in bathroom, I panicked! then my mom knew my brother is getting it and also wanna use it too lolololol. When I knew it I don't know what to react if I'll laugh or angry or what. Because its time consuming, and happy at the same time because my Kuya gustong pumuti din lalo.

FACT: Kuya ko talaga maputi, nagmana sa father side, yung lolo ko half Chinese at maputi, maganda korte ng kamay, paa and other Chinese body features, while me namana ko morena skin ko sa mismong father kong moreno, tho sinkit ako. (Kaloka like ko pala si Alodia Gosiengfiao) pero morena ako, but my Dad said mapula daw kami kaya nagmuka kaming maitim. Idk yun ang sabi nya. Magka-mukha kami ni kuya but the difference is our skin tone.

So ayun lang, gusto lang ng kuya ko pumuti ulit since nababad na sya araw during outdoors and sports, lagi kasi syang nasa labas, pero maputi pa rin sya ha kahit ganon.

May idol akong male cosplayer on Facebook, he is a Thailander and very handsome, then he revealed his secret, he uses Likas Papaya soap pinapa-ship pa nya from Philippines, he also revealed the before and after of his pic that ang itim nya pala noon. Here I am, proud user ng Likas Papaya soap. Support local!

Hanggang sa pumuti ako ng husto. Napagkakamalan akong rich kid dahil sa kutis ko.

NOTE: I started using Likas Papaya soap when school begins in June 2005. Tag-lamig. Its rainy days so we boil water to take a bath a warm water. I think this is the reason why my skin absorbs the soap because it is open pores when pouring warm water.
